Youth of India

Today, we have seen a drastic change in the youth of India. Currently, half of the population that is representing India’s youth is in the age group of 15-35. The youth of coming years is more talented and adventurous. The new young generation is very open-minded and is seen to be less money conservative. They like to spend lot of money and enjoy a lot, like visiting pubs, playing online games, other interactive services and the most important Internet browsing. The relationship between parents and their young children is getting less conservative. Children of this generation discuss openly with parents about their sex life without any hesitation.

The young generation of India is known for their, hard work and passion of life. Even Late Rajiv Gandhi had decreased the voters id holder age group from 21 to 18, so that he felt that in future the democracy should be handled by people of young generation the growing young generation will get an opportunity to vote and select the proper candidates for running their country.

Many years ago, there was a campaign which was lead by Times of India, The Lead India campaign. In that campaign 35000 entrepreneurs and common people participated. All participants were examined and eight were chosen as finalists from eight entrepreneurs, R. K, Mishra became the first entrepreneur to win this competition. The lead India campaign gave a chance for common man to actively participate in politics and showed the whole India, that young generation will lead India and India will become prosperous and wealthy country. This arousal for participation of young generation in politics continued like snail’s pace.

Nowadays, the young generation has started participating in social causes and taking interest in other activities other than entertainment. Young students carried out the recent Anna Hazzare campaign which was against lokpal bill and also had actively participated in Baba ramdev campaign against excluding black money which is earned in other country. This itself describes the increasing social interest of the young generation.

In India, the numbers of NGOs are increasing very rapidly and young students mostly run them. One of the worldwide known NGOs amongst others in India is the CRY foundation and this NGO is gaining lot of response from the Indians. The CRY foundation has tied up with the company Hindustan Uniliver, which help them to gain some percentage of money from every selling pack of these products in India. There is a Teach India campaign, which provides education to the needy child. Most probably, there are young teachers, which provide education to these needy students. .

Nowadays, the young generation is becoming technocratic. The mobile phone has become one of the important necessities of this generation. Even the BPL families have mobile phones. The development in internet sector has given boost to the mobile sector. Mobile phone helps the young generation to browse social networking sites like Facebook, Orkut, Linked-in, etc and helps to get connected to their loving friends. The young generation has started using Facebook as the tool to break some rules and leak out scams in India. These scams are leading to a great change in the democracy of the country.

Today, in India the top most, famous and rich executives are young people from top Indian companies. Some of the executives which are on the top position of the list of 100 highest earning businessmen are from Reliance, ICICI and many other companies. The American president, Barack Obama which has recently visited India, said that the young generation is so much capable that in some years India will become a developed country. I wish that the change I feel no, we feel that India will become the developed country in some years.
