Undiscovered states in national anthem

Have you ever thought of that in India’s National anthem there are 7 north east states, which are not mentioned in it. When I first discovered that the whole India’s national anthem does not include the north east stated I was astonished. This major issue got highlighted in my mind because of a play which was held in our college on the occasion of independence day. I never thought that there is some part of India which is not assuming themselves the part of India as a country. The north east Indians are bounded by a single but very destructive and scary law, which is known as AFSPA (Armed forces special power act, 1958 ). It is a such if it is applied in Metro cities then you cannot believe to express your own fundamental rights which are given by our constitution, even people like Anna Hazare will be killed on mere suspicious and provoking the other people against the government. Irom Sharmila  was not the one who came forward to save the lives of people

Even the production of mobile is increased by 30% due to the demand of people. Now everyone even poor people have a mobile and this explains the necessity of mobile in India . In India , recently tab and I pad is launched. It has the ability to work like a PC or a laptop. It is called as mini processor or chota packet. A Musical Experience

The day I will never forget in my life. Two hours of that day was musical. After spending such moment of my life my mind was filled up with old songs. The old songs and their wordings, music which I never thought that would remain in my mind, whenever I used to listen in childhood in antakshari’s and television. It was sandesh who turned the moment in some musical experience. I experienced this with my friends sanket and sandesh. I will say thanks to sandesh as he turned a normal day into some one different moment of life that I don’t think I will forget. There was some media analysis company which were carrying out analysis on songs that to be heard on FM Radio by different age group audiences. We were told to fill up some form, which I thought was interesting in a way as they were filling up forms with any irrelevant information they found to be interesting. Then we spend there 45 min’s in a hall, where different age group people were arranged by the people of th

The Web of Darkness on Mumbai

Mumbai, 13/7/2011 I remember that on that day our Polaris festival work was going on with the speed of light. Everyone was working in different sections of the festivals. I was working in the creative room and on that day we were happy that our dragon was near to completion. Sunith, Karen, Astrid, Joycelin, Harsh and I were working in the creative room. Dharma and sandesh was also sitting with us. Suddenly dharm got a call from his friend that some building fell down and glass cylinder was  blasted. Then we got little worried because the blast of gas cylinder was occurred near dharam's office. Dharm got scared and started calling and suddenly aalam came and told us that the web of terrorism is again developed on Mumbai. The first bomb blasted at Charni road and second in Dadar and third in Zaveri bazaar and Mumbai went into darkness. The old memories of terrorist attacks and the worst days came forward my eyes. Everyone started calling their loved ones. I told my mom that

The Day I thought was last…

The recent terrorist attack on Mumbai, lead to a great impact on the lives of the people and many other previous attacks. The Mumbai was just getting back on the track and such incident occurred with me that was the most important point I felt of my life because I thought that I was having a minute or seconds to live. It was the fourth day after such gruesome incident of the attack on Mumbai, the Polaris festival was organized and it was the 3 rd day of the fest. I boarded a Churchgate bounded local from Nallsopara station to reach college. The train reached Borivali station within half and hour. Everything was going well, people were getting in and going out on every station, some people in coach were busy in surfing on their blackberry, some were chatting among their friends, some were glued to their music collection, everything was going well and suddenly a man identified a suspicious bag, everyone started asking to each other about the bag, Borivali was passed away and tr

The Dark End

I remember that SSR Project submission deadline was there on the next day. We gathered at manasi house in bandra on previous day. This day was different as usual. When we approached to her house, we got caught in problem of refusal of rickshaws to manasi’s house. This was happening because the day before Bandra’s slum area “Bherampada” was under the fire flames. The cause for fire was blast of cylinder. It destructed about 200 houses, bandra skywalk and their sweet homes. We somehow reached her house and started working on the project. Everybody went home early at 6:00pm as the area was not good for girls. I waited there till 9:00pm and then left for home. I was so damn thinking on SSR project that I forgot to tell the rickshaw driver to leave me at another area which was unaffected. He took me to the place where the area was under flames. The area was dark as lights were cut off in order to avoid accidents through sparking of electricity; people were roaming here and

A new morning, new set of moods, things are in usual way of living and suddenly some thing strikes oh!! Today is parade of POLARIS 2011 held at Wilson College and the theme is carnival. I got the train and reached college by 7:00 am. The mood was already set most of the contingents were ready with colourful clothes, masks, jugglers, carts etc. Our college departments were also ready with their creativities. Our committee and volunteers were also dressed up with colourful and innovative creatively designed clothes.  There were approximately 600 students gathered for the carnival parade in college. I was also dressed up a colourful party wear shirt. Later, we all formed a line for parade in an order, where all college departments were ahead and contingents participating in Polaris on back side. The Bata-bano contingent was full of colours and real carnival creative’s. They got horses with cart and car and creative elements on the faces of people. The Parade started well, it was

LIFE........ LIFE

Life is a road, which have many twists and turns, Can a person walk on it? Life is full of burden and emotions, Can a person hold this? Life is full of colours, Can a person live life without colours? Life is like waves of sea, Can a person change within a span of time? Life is a race, Can a person fulfill his goals? Life has dead end, Can a person skip this end? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life is a painting, where characters are involved, where one's life begins and end, where one can draw anything, but within some limit, where one can add beautiful colours to life, and within one hard stroke of brush,  the painting gets spoiled.

The Mumbai city is know as the financial capital of Maharashtra. The life of Mumbai is consisted of series of events. In every city many things occur at the same time, at different places, and with different people. The city food is marvelous and the most favorite fast food of Mumbai is vada pav, which is even popular in foreign countries. The lifeline of Mumbai is the local trains in which more than lakhs of people travel daily. The foreigners are fascinated by the way how Indian people travel through such crowded trains. Some stories lies behind mask. This is one story lying under the mask. Hi today I want share a spooky story with all of you. This is the incident which will leave you to bad nightmares. The Day I remember when everywhere people were waiting for rain. The wait to feel the pleasant weather of monsoon rain was on the top of mind of all people. Life in Mumbai was on regular tracks. People were returning home from offices. The dogs were barking and running everywhere. Traffic jams were there on the streets of Mumbai. Suddenly the wind started blowing with lot of force and blanket of dark cloud formed. Lightning was occurring in some places and within some time earth land which was thirsty got drenched by first rain. Everywhere people were showing their different ways of enjoying rain. I was also at the same time was enjoying rain at marine drive with my friends. We got drenched in rain and had corn. It was the best day, I enjoyed ever. We were walking down the marine drive. Then suddenly we heard a sound of car crashing and I turned back to see what happened….. A girl was met with an accident by a car. We ran there as soon as the accident took place. Eve

The Day I shared with Old People

Image
I have never experienced such an atmosphere of deep emotions flowing through people. This is the place where people are living life, which they will never wish in their whole life. Our organization decided to visit there and spread some happiness by sharing some good moments and giving some time which should be given by their family members and not us. It was the first time, when our social organization decided to organize a one day trip for celebrating the auspicious day of “Guddi Padwa” with people, who are living in an old age home. This is known as the New Year for Marathi culture and day for spreading happiness all over. The place was located in Sakvar i.e. Virar.  This home was in the middle of green blanket of trees, open grass lands and express way touching. When we reached, I saw that some people were already ready wearing new sarees and kurta pyjamas. They were so happy that, some people are there in world, which are thinking about us and our happines

Visit to an old age home

Image
The lives of people who are living a miserable life are the people staying in an old age home.  These people are left alone in this home and they never pay  a visit to again.  The age of people living in old age home are approximately under the age group of 70-95. The old age home is seen as a home for people who are left alone, but in reality it is not a home for them. Their real home is in which they had spent their most of life.           Recently, our social community organized a visit to old age home for celebrating New Year with them on the auspicious day of ‘Guddi Padwa’.  This was the first time I had gone to such place. The name of the organization was “Manavsena Trust, Sakvar”.  This place was surrounded by the blanket of greenery. In that old age home, there were approximately 40 people were staying. I observed that these people were provided with basic amenities like food, clothing, and shelter. They had created separate divisions for both of th

Youth of India

Image
Today, we have seen a drastic change in the youth of India. Currently, half of the population that is representing India’s youth is in the age group of 15-35. The youth of coming years is more talented and adventurous. The new young generation is very open-minded and is seen to be less money conservative. They like to spend lot of money and enjoy a lot, like visiting pubs, playing online games, other interactive services and the most important Internet browsing. The relationship between parents and their young children is getting less conservative. Children of this generation discuss openly with parents about their sex life without any hesitation. The young generation of India is known for their, hard work and passion of life. Even Late Rajiv Gandhi had decreased the voters id holder age group from 21 to 18, so that he felt that in future the democracy should be handled by people of young generation the growi
